Document Description
To implement the Lower American River Anadromous Fish Habitat Restoration Project. The work covered by this permit consists of grading of an existing gravel bar by removing approximately 34,736 cubic yards (CY) of material to create rearing habitat; in-channel grading and placement of approximately 18,274 CY of gravel to create a spawning riffle; disposal of approximately 18,552 CY excess gravel derived from gravel bar grading; creation of a boat notch near the spawning gravel placement area; placement of approximately 15 large woody habitat structures; and planting of shaded riverine aquatic vegetation in approximately 1.1 acres in the Lower American River. A temporary crossing will also be installed to facilitate site access during construction.
