Document Description
The project would install shoulder and centerline rumble strips, loop detectors, peizos, and modify telephone demarcation cabinets and traffic signs at various locations within the project limits. AH the work would occur within Caltrans right-of-way. The purpose of this project is to improve the safety along segments of SR 65 and SR 190 and bring the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) elements and traffic signs up to current standards. The proposed project is needed to address the number and severity of collisions that are leaving the roadway and/or crossing the centerline and striking vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. The existing ITS elements and the traffic signs are not up to current standards.
