Document Description
Repair nine (9) historic Civilian Conservation Corps picnic tables in Mount Diablo State Park to return them to working order and give the public safe recreation facilities. Work at each site will include some of the elements listed below: • Bench repairs: o Remove existing bench seat boards; o Remove existing anchor rods from pier tops; o Rebuild rock pier bench supports with existing stones or local rock and lime mortar; o Insert steel W' anchor rods into the rock pier bench supports; and o Install new or reinstall existing redwood bench seats on anchor rods. • Table repairs: o Insert steel½" anchor rods into existing rock table top piers; o Install redwood support pieces perpendicular to piers; and o Install three (3) table-top boards to the support pieces.
