Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a highway maintenance project on State Route (SR) 132 within Calaveras County to replace two (2) culverts. At postmile 36.10, it is proposed to place a dam at the concrete ditch outlet to reduce sediment transport and increase offsite storage. All culvert work will include open trenching. There will be no chance to the existing headwall or fill, except for clearing and grubbing. The purpose of this project is to maintain the culverts to protect the integrity of SR 132. The project is needed because the culverts are corroding and will fail if they are not maintained.
