Document Description
The purpose of the project is to close the bicycle and pedestrian gaps along Mulholland Highway and Old Topanga Canyon Road adjacent to the Calabasas High School in the City of Calabasas. The project will extend the sidewalk with concrete curb on the north side of Mulholland Hwy between a point 1,000 feet east of Old Topanga Canyon Rd and the intersection of Mulholland Hwy and Old Topanga Canyon Road. The sidewalk extension and improvements will continue on the east side of Old Topanga Canyon Rd from Mulholland Hwy to the Calabasas High School Driveway, which is located 890 feet north of Mulholland Hwy. The project will also include extending an existing 5 foot-wide Class II bike lane on the north side of Mulholland Hwy, currently ends about 260 feet east of the intersection, to the Old Topanga Canyon Road/Mulholland Hwy intersection. Similarly, an existing 5 foot-wide Class II bike lane on the ·east side of Old Topanga Canyon Rd, currently ends about 540 feet north of the Old Topanga Canyon Road/Mulholland Hwy intersection, will be extended southerly to the intersection.
