- The maintenance activities include the hand clearing of vegetation from the streambed and the lower portion of the stream bank for 100 to 140 feet upstream and 50 feet downstream of each of the four stream gauging stations for Silverwood Lake. - The four stream gauging stations are located on two of the major tributary creeks of Silverwood Lake, near the city of Hesperia, CA. 1) Upper Cleghorn Cyn. Crk. Station is 1. 7 miles west of Silverwood Lake; 2) Lower Cleghorn Cyn. Crk Station is 0.5 miles west of Silverwood Lake; 3) Upper Miller Cyn Crk Station is 1.4 miles east of Silverwood Lake; and 4) Lower Miller Cyn Crk Station 0.1 miles east of Silverwood Lake.
