The project will expand Paradise Creek Educational Park. Existing asphalt pavement and concrete sidewalks will be removed and replaced with decomposed granite (DG) surface and permeable pavers. Curb extensions, a high-visibility crosswalk, and LED illuminated signs will be installed at the intersection for a safer crossing.

Reasons for Exemption
This in-fill development project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it is less than 5 acres in size, will be completed within the City's right-of-way, and will re-purpose an existing asphalt road (a portion of Hoover Avenue) and construct a park in its place.
