Document Description
To remove the existing Escalon-Bellota Road Bridge (Br. No. 29C-038) and construct a new bridge over Littlejohns Creek. The bridge replacement project includes construction of new roadway approaches, installation of new guardrail system, construction of new bridge drainage system, installation of rock slope protection along the creek banks at the bridge abutments, construction of a temporary detour bridge east of the existing bridge, installation of a temporary creek diversion system/cofferdams upstream and downstream of the work area, installation of falsework to construct bridge deck, removing 13 trees and restoring riparian habitat, excavation of approximately 245 cubic yards of soil and 400 cubic yards of reinforced concrete from the creek channel. The new bridge will be approximately 135-foot long and 35-foot wide.
