The proposed project would remove the existing bridge and replace it with a wider two-span, cast-in-place prestressed concrete slab bridge, meeting current standards. The bridge would be constructed on the existing alignment, and new approach roadways would be constructed to connect the bridge to the existing roadway section. The new bridge would be approximately 133 feet in length and 35 feet in width to accommodate two traffic lanes with adequate shoulders. The new bridge would consist of a concrete slab supported on a concrete pile bent and on concrete abutments constructed on piles at each end of the bridge.
