Document Description
The project proposes a General Plan Amendment/Zone Change (GPA/ZC) on 4.77 acres located generally on the northeast corner of the Taft Highway and Ashe Road. The request includes: (1) an amendment of the Land Use Element of the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Plan land use designation/ram RR (Rural Residential) to GC (General Commercial), or a more restrictive designation, and (2) a change in zone classification from A (Agriculture) to zone C-2/PCD (Regional Commercial/Planned Commercial Development). The project proposes the development of a gas station/convenience store, fast food with drive-thru, and various retail building pads totaling approximately 42,000 square feet.
