Document Description
The project will continue to improve the current Lake County Invasive Mussel Prevention Plan by funding another 2 years of boat ramp monitors, provide education, and improve local and state law compliance with persons recreating on Clear Lake. The project will also improve mussel prevention outreach and education via signage, radio and social media outlets. Lastly, the project will initiate the transition from paper screening into digital medium. This transition will allow Lake County to connect, in real-time, with other AIS managers using digital systems to track incoming vessels, enhancing our ability to successfully detect a potential mussel introduction more effectively.
