Document Description
In support of a proposed project to construct a new cinder shed at the existing maintenance facility, Caltrans proposes to perform geotechnical boring to assess the subsurface soil structure. Four exploratory borings are proposed to occur, each approximately 4-611 in diameter and no more than 50 feet deep below ground surface.

The project location is a dirt lot adjacent to an existing maintenance facility, and no environmental resources were identified in the proposed boring locations. Standard nesting bird surveys will occur prior to any work being done.
