- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to immediately repair a slip-out and culvert failure due to recent storm that brought heavy rains that saturated the soil, on State Route (SR) 26 at postmile (PM) 1.5 in Amador County. The scope of repair work for this location includes, but is not limited to: temporarily divert and pump the storm water runoff; remove the existing damaged culvert and replace it with a 36" Reinforced Concrete Pipe; reconstruct shoulders, roadway base, structural section and overlay with Hot Mix Asphalt; construct and stabilize the failed slope with ¼ ton-1/2 ton rocks; and provide traffic control and all necessary work as directed by the Engineer.
