Document Description
CDCR is proposing to replace approximately 3600 Linear Feet (LF) of water line at the California Institution for Men (CIM) in Chino CA. The project involves replacing approximately 3600 LF of 6" diameter C-900 water pipe. Trench depth to top of pipe is a minimum of 3 feet below top of subgrade. There are 3 points of connection. The end connection is at the waste water treatment plant that serves CIM. The second connection is a 2.5" fire hose connection at an onsite Piggery and the third connection is a 2.5" hose connection at a grit chamber. The pipeline is located within a highly disturbed area in close proximity to a dirt access road and above head powerlines. Based on recent site visits there are no sensitive resources within the project area. This project is needed to improve existing infrastructure and ensure unimpeded operations of the institution.

that the Secretary for Resources has found do not have a significant effect on the environment, and therefore is declared to be categorically exempt from the requirement for preparing an environmental document. None of the exceptions to a notice of exemption apply.
