Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration
Agreement number 1600-2019-0048-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to University of California, Davis.
The project is limited to the replacement of the existing La Rue Road bridge with a more seismically stable bridge structure. The bridge replacement will include diverting the water from the work area, demolition and reconstruction of the bridge, relocation of utilities from the bridge to a trenched location immediately east of the bridge alignment, the improvement of arboretum pathways immediately below the bridge, and habitat enhancement and vegetative restoration of temporarily impacted areas of the arboretum.

Class 1 because the project includes of the minor alteration of existing utilities and pathways with negligible or no expansion of its existing capacity and maintenance of existing landscaping within the UC Davis arboretum. Class 2 because the project consists of the replacement of an existing bridge where the new bridge will be located on the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity.
