Document Description
The proposed project is the implementation of the City of Monterey's Storm Drainage Maintenance Plan (SDMP). The SDMP describes maintenance activities for 29 high priority sites over a five-year period necessary for upkeep of the City's stormwater drainage system. Maintenance activities would primarily consist of the removal of accumulated sediment and vegetation that could impede the flow of water. Maintenance activities would occur primarily during the summer and early fall prior to the rainy season. Some maintenance activities would be performed manually by crews using hand tools, while other activities would require heavy equipment, such as a bulldozer and backhoe.
