Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0609-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mr. Hunter Barber. The project is limited to two encroachments to an Unnamed Tributary to the South Fork Mad River. One encroachment is for upgrade an existing but unpermitted stream crossing. The other is for removal of an unpermitted pond constructed within the riparian zone, Work for these encroachments wilt include some or all of the following: excavation, removal and proper spoiling of fill, culvert removal and replacement, backfilling and compaction of fill , and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

Reasons for Exemption
The project will permit upgrading an existing unpermitted stream crossing and removal of an existing earthen berm adjacent to a stream to remediate activities associated with unlawful cannabis cultivation. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
