- The project will perform Geotechnical surface and subsurface investigations to inform future projects on the Capitol grounds of the geotechnical engineering properties including classification of strata and bearing capacity of the soil surrounding the Capitol buildings. Work includes performing up to (7) exploratory borings up to 125 feet deep and 6 to 8 inches in diameter. The borings will be performed using truck-mounted drilling equipment. The work also includes performing up to seven (7) cone penetration test (CPT) soundings up to 75 feet deep and 2 inches in diameter. The CPT soundings are also performed using truck-mounted equipment
