The project includes abandonment of two points of diversion on License 9393 and transfer of that water right from use within the District to "maintenance of ... streamflows ... to protect fish and wildlife resources", as defined in Section 15301 (i). No exceptions or unusual circumstances (Section 15300.2) exist that would preclude use of this exemption to benefit California Department of Fish and Wildlife's objectives.
