Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0313-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to East Bay Municipal Utility District.
The project is limited to placement of temporary fill material (wooden mats and stone) along the bank of the Briones Reservoir to create a temporary crane access pad adjacent to the reservoir. The Project is being undertaken to support EBMUD's actions to seismically retrofit the Briones Reservoir inlet-outlet tower. The tower is located near the upstream toe of the earth dam embankment, approximately 850 feet upstream of the centerline of the dam crest. Installation of the crane access would involve the placement of stone and wooden mats to create a flat/stable platform for the crane to access the reservoir for loading and unloading of materials on a barge. The stone and wooden mats will be removed at the completion of project activities.
