Document Description
This Earth Day project will consolidate and improve existing trash and recycle bin locations in the Islay Campground at Montana de Oro State Park to limit damage caused by heavy trash collection trucks. Work will: • Remove four (4) existing dumpsters from various locations within the campground and rehabilitate (as needed) the former trash sites; • In one ( 1) new area trash area and three (3) existing trash areas, excavate to a depth of up to 12" to remove a total of approximately 1,100 feet2 of soil; • Use dump trucks to import up to 41 yards3 of road base and place the road base in the four (4) proposed trash collection areas; and • Plant native vegetation as screening around the new trash collection areas.
