Document Description
The subject property consists of a parcel of land, encompassing approximately .50 acres more or less, commonly referred to as Assessor's Parcel Number 004-058-240. The subject property is contiguous to Tribal trust land. The use of the property is to facilitate tribal self-determination, as well at to reestablish tribal jurisdiction and sovereignty over an area of historical importance to the Tribe.
This application is not for gaming. The Tribe amended their 2018 application on May 4, 2020 to use the Property for an early childhood development center. The Tribe has placed a modular building (1,512 square foot), wood fence, concrete patio and sidewalk on the parcel to accommodate the use of an early childhood development center. The Tribe intends to employ three full-time employees and one part-time employee to oversee a maximum of20 children at the early childhood development center. As indicated above, the purpose for seeking your comments regarding the proposed trust land acquisition is to obtain sufficient data that would enable an analysis of the potential impact on local/state government, which may result from the removal of the subject property from the tax roll and local jurisdiction.
