Document Description
The SVRCS replaces the many existing analog public safety radio systems currently in use in Santa Clara County with a new digital radio system. The proposed project will upgrade 13 existing SVCRS communications sites and add two new communication sites. The project includes upgrades to the existing radio facility on University of California property at Mount Hamilton. At the Mount Hamilton site, construction will consist of installation of a new 120-foot monopole, installation or relocation of up to three antennas onto the new tower, a new backup generator, and other associated equipment.
