Document Description
The Proposed Project, located at 7335 Wheatley St, San Diego, CA 92111, consists of the demolition of all permanent buildings and the removal of existing portable classrooms. In their place there will be a new administration building, multipurpose/food service building, and three new classroom buildings housing utk-5th grades and a learning commons space. The total gross square footage of new buildings will be approximately 62,964 square feet (sf) and will be comprised of 24 classrooms with a maximum capacity of 611 students. Site improvements will consist of regrading, removal of existing utilities and the installation of all new wet and dry utilities, new transformer, site drainage and storm water management improvements, new parking, and drop-off areas, play equipment, and new delivery and trash pick-up areas. Construction of the project is estimated to begin in January of 2025 and through December of 2026 (approximately 23 months). Excavation for new building foundations would not exceed 10 feet deep. It is assumed that construction activities would not result in the disturbance of more than two acres (87,120 sf) of land per day.
