Document Description
The Sunset View Elementary School Whole Site Modernization project (Proposed
Project) includes modernization of existing facilities and construction of a new approximately 7,000 square foot (sf) single story, six classroom building; a new 6,750 sf single story administration building; new shade structure at lunch area; new solar array installation within existing hardscape areas; reconfiguration of old administration space into two new classrooms; light modernization of twelve existing classroom spaces; light modernization of food services and multi-purpose room building; light modernization of the existing library building; minor landscape and irrigation modifications; upgrades to the existing playground area; accessibility and ADA path of
travel improvements; and upgrades the existing parking lot to allow for onsite drop off and pick up to improve off-site traffic circulation. The project also includes the removal of all portable classroom buildings. Projected enrollment and capacity would remain unchanged. The maximum depth of excavation for any project phase would not exceed 10 feet and 1,000 cubic yards of excavated material. Construction of the Proposed Project would begin in Construction of the Proposed Project is scheduled to begin in June of 2026 and last approximately 24 months.
