Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 1600-2019-0157-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Ventura County Watershed Protection District (VCWPD), represented by Glenn Shephard. The whole of the Project is to decommission the Santa Rosa Road No. 2 Debris Basin, extend the existing box culvert beneath Santa Rosa Road, and repair and extend an existing storm drain. Since initial construction activities were completed, rains have caused erosion to occur in Areas 1-4 around the access road and storm drains. In Area 1, VCWPD will install ungrouted rock riprap on the slope of Area 1 and the access road adjacent to Area 1 will be improved by replacing the decomposed granite with crushed miscellaneous base (CMB) material for stability. In Area 2, VCWPD will replace portions of the existing concreted rock riprap down drain area on the western slope in Area 2, add 8-inch concrete curbs on the access road, armor both sides of the down drain with 5-foot wide rock riprap on the western channel bank and construct a rock splash pool within the invert. In Area 3, VCWPD will extend the existing 12-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) drain on the eastern slope and underneath the access road with a new rock riprap outlet. Similar to Area 3, in Area 4, Permittee will extend the existing 12-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) drain on the eastern slope and underneath the access road with a new rock riprap outlet.
