Document Description
We are applying for a Cal OES HMGP DR-4382 Grant. Our project is to reduce fuel loading on developed and undeveloped private parcels within the town limits of Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546. The grant funding will re-imburse property owners for defensible space work done on their property. MLFPD staff will inspect properties, come up with the work plan and deliver to the property owner. The property owners will get 2-3 bids and hire the contractor with the lowest bid. When the work is completed, MLFPD staff will re-inspect. If the work meets our ordinance standards, the property owner will pay the contractor and submit their receipt for up to 75% reimbursement on the lowest bid price.
