Document Description
The project proposes roadway and parkway improvements including installation of a Class I bike path along Lakewood Blvd. For the proposed alignment, an existing 1.5-mile, six-lane corridor of Lakewood Blvd between Del Amo Blvd and Ashworth St, the project will also include utility undergrounding, stormwater improvements and streetscape improvements. As a major north-south corridor, Lakewood Blvd is a Major Arterial in the City's General Plan with ultimate width of 100 ft that would include six lanes, a raised center median and additional left-turn pocket at the intersection of Hardwick St and Lakewood Blvd. The project would potentially improve multi-modal access, pedestrian safety and stormwater detention along this roadway segment.
