Fremont Hillside Stabilization Phase 2
NOE - Notice of Exemption
During the winter of 2017, landslide debris on this hillside became unstable, and Fremont Hall had to be vacated. Following a winterization project in 2018, consulting engineers and geologists determined that there was still a potential for debris flows to impact Fremont Hall and other nearby structures.
See NOE for full detail.

Sec. 21080(b)(4); 15269(b)(c)
Reasons for Exemption
Section 15269(c) exempts specific actions necessary to prevent or mitigate an emergency.
