The primary purpose of this Caltrans Project is to widen the road at four locations between the unincorporated communities of Blue Lake and Willow Creek in Humboldt County to reduce the frequency and severity of collisions by widening shoulders to provide additional recovery space for motorists and create a more traversable shoulder for bicyclists and pedestrians.
