Document Description
The project proposes to replace an existing 40-foot container with an upgraded container and new generation batteries. A 20-foot container would also be installed on an adjacent pad, as well as one battery cabinet and inverter from Natron Energy.
The existing electrical switch gear would be upgraded from 400A to 1200A.

Based on the above project description, the Energy Storage Container Replacement project is classified as exempt from the provisions of CEQA under Section 15301 Class 1 existing facilities. The proposed project consists of minor alterations to existing structures and an addition that would not result in the increase of more than 50 percent of the existing floor area. In addition, none of the exceptions to the exemptions apply.
