The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to remove and replace one pump at each of the project location pump houses; Eastside Underpass Pump Plant (SJ-99-19.75) and Route 4/5 Separation Pump Plant (SJ-4-16.09). In San Joaquin County. The· purpose of this project is to ensure the safety of the traveled way and public. The project is needed to repair the pump and prevent damage to the roadway.
