Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a Highway Maintenance project to overlay State Route (SR) 88 from post mile 32.3 to post mile 38.0 within Amador County. The scope of work includes cold planing, removal and replacement of existing white and yellow pavement markings, placement of shoulder backing, replacement of Asphalt Concrete dikes and guardrails as needed, and placement of Hot Mix Asphalt. All work will occur within existing Caltrans right of way. The purpose of this project is to repair damaged and failing areas of the roadway. The project is needed to prevent further deterioration and extend the service life of SR-88.
