The project involves removal of two leaking 60,000 gallon water tanks and Installation of a 250,000 gallon steel water tank, driveway upgrades, and associated equipment at Bear Gulch Station 42, located off of Stadler Drive. The purpose of the project is to Increase water pressure and provide adequate supply and pressure for emergencies, such as fire. The project location Is within the Town's Very High Severity Fire Hazard Zone.

The project is statutorily exempt under CEQA Section 15269(c). The project would increase water capacity and pressure and provide adequate supply and pressure for emergencies, such as fire. The project location is within the Town's Very High Severity Fire Hazard Zone, an area particularly susceptible to severe fires. The project would mitigate loss of, or damage to life, health and property or essential public services, in a situation that has a high probability of occurrence over the short-term.
