Document Description
In accordance with CA Water Code Section 6307, the Department of Water Resources (Department) is required to adopt, by regulation, a schedule of fees to cover the Department's reasonable budgetary costs in carrying out the supervision of dam safety. These proposed regulations set forth the Department's method for determining this fee schedule.

Reasons for Exemption
Adoption of the annual fee increase is exempt under CEQA because it is not a project, and assuming that adoption constitutes a project, it would be exempt on the following grounds: (1) There is no possibility that the adoption of the fee increase will have-a significant effect on the environment; and (2) The fees are used to cover the cost of administering the Dam Safety Program.
