Document Description
The Santa Fe Springs Area Office Replacement Project (Proposed Project) is part of a statewide effort to replace aging or inadequate California Highway Patrol (CHP) field offices and other facilities. The purpose of the Proposed Project is to relocate the Santa Fe Springs Area Office and replace it with new facilities that will provide adequate workspace, and vehicle and equipment storage for an increasing number of employees assigned to this office. The Proposed Project would consist of the design, construction and operation of buildings, auto service bays, a radio antenna tower, equipment enclosures and storage areas, a fuel island with gas tanks, an emergency generator, and other ancillary improvements. CHP prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to provide a transparent and comprehensive evaluation of the Proposed Project. CHP has prepared this resolution to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) (Pub. Resources Code, § 21000 et seq.). CHP is a “lead agency” under CEQA.
