On 12/12/18, the State Water Board adopted Resolution No. 2018-0059 amending the Water Quality Control Plan for the SF Bay/Sac-San Joaquin Delta Estuary (Bay Delta Plan).
The amendments establish new flow objectives that recognize the need for flows of an adequate volume and more variable pattern on the three major tributaries of the Low San Joaquin River watershed to provide habitat and migratory signals and protections for native fish. Refined salinity objective reflects updated scientific information about salt levels that reasonably protect farming in the southern Delta.
