Document Description
Merced County proposes to continue the implementation of the existing Bridge Maintenance and Replacement Program. The county's ongoing road bridge/culvert repair, maintenance, and replacement addresses problems and deficiencies identified through routine inspections. There are 396 road bridge/culverts in County that are subject to routine inspections and maintenance under this program. Of this total, 166 bridge/culverts cross natural watercourses. Most of the bridges are concrete bridges, although some are made of timber and reinforced concrete. The program involves the routine maintenance, repair, and replacement of road bridges and culverts throughout Merced County.
