Document Description
The Napa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District has updated the Stream Maintenance Program Manual to include additional District maintenance responsibilities, revised maintenance approaches, maintenance activities conducted by both the Napa County Resource Conservation District and the County Public Works Dept's Roads Division in partnership with the District, and maintenance of the Napa River/Napa Creek Flood Protection Project. The Manual provides the organizational framework to oversee routine stream maintenance activities, including vegetation management, erosion protection/bank stabilization, sediment removal, culvert repair/replacement, and other activities. These maintenance activities occur mainly in engineered channels, modified channels and natural channels throughout Napa County on an as-needed basis.
