Document Description
The project will address metals Impacted soil identified within an approximately 15-foot-wide by 250- foot long portion of an 1, 100-foot segment of an undeveloped railroad right of way. The City of Whittler (City) has acquired a perpetual surface easement on the property and is planning to redevelop the area as a pedestrian/bicycle trail known as the Greenway Trail Extension (Trail) Project.
A Removal Action Work Plan (RAW) has been prepared that proposes excavation and off-site disposal of metal-impacted soil (approximately 280 cubic yards), and replacement with clean fill as necessary to meet grade for the finished trail and
the Installation of a minimum 3-inch-thick concrete paved trail, The fieldwork will be conducted in conjunction with construction of the entire Trail and in accordance with a RAW approved by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
