NOE - Notice of Exemption
The Paso Robles Fuels Crew Office Construction project is located approximately 4 miles northwest of downtown Paso Robles at the old Los Robles Conservation Camp (LRCC). The property is located on level ground at approximately 800 feet in elevation. The property is located in annual grassland with a Youth Authority Prison to the south and west, a municipal airport to the east, and farmland to the north. The LRCC was built on El Paso de Robles Youth Correctional facility, which was originally acquired from the US Military in 1947, the correctional facility closed in 1972, reopened in 1974, and closed again in 2008. CAL FIRE is currently using the LRCC as a temporary fire station and to house one CAL FIRE bulldozer and the north county fleet operations center.
