The 282-acre training site is located at the northwest end of the Salt Springs Reservior, 5 miles east from Milton, CA. This site is occupied by a variety of annual grasses, primarily medusahead grass. Firing activities would utilize various hand firing devcies and be strictly limited to the designated burn blocks. Routine fire control training activities would include mobile attack, hand tool use, and progressive hose lay operations while in a controlled environment. All burning will be performed according to the terms and conditions of a burn permit. Control Lines will consist of existing roads, dozer line, and hand line, with the reservoir making up the southern perimeter.
