The California department of toxic substances control (DTSC), approved the proposed plan for Naval Base San Diego Installation Restoration Program Site 10 (IRP Site 10 Plan), dated May 2018. The IRP Site 10 plan recommended institutional controls to address soil contaminated with lead. DTSC approved this remedy pursuant to regulatory authority granted under the Comprehensive Environmental response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
