The Department of Water Resources of the state of California (DWR) will deliver of up to 2,000 acre-feet of Antelope valley-East Kern water Agency's (AVEK) approved 2019 state water project (SWP) table A water to the temporary diversion facility at approximately Milepost 366.53 in reach 22B of the California Aqueduct's East Branch (Big Rock Creek Siphon temporary turnout). The Big Rock creek Siphon Temporary Turnout directly feeds into an adjudicated groundwater basin in the Antelope Valley region, which AVEK can store its SWP water supplies in and recover later using its own pumping wells for uses in its service area. The delivery of AVEK's approved 2019 Table A water to Big Rock Creek Siphon Temporary turnout shall be completed by June 30, 2019.
