Document Description
The Sustainable Groundwater Mamagement Act (SGMA) requires the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to deploy a network of stream gages in high and medium priority basins to reduce the gaps in the existing stream gage network. The enhanced network would provide essential data to improve water management and to protect fish and wildlife. Yucaipa Creek is in the medium priority Yucaipa Groundwater Basin (8-002.07). The project consists of installation of a NEMA Box, which housing the electrical components to power the project and store/upload the data, and the conduit which contains the bubbler that runs across Yucaipa Creek and generates a stedy pressure of air bubbles which is used to calculate the stream height when surface water is flowing.
