Document Description
The GSWC proposes to install an ion exchange treatment system to remove nitrate from water extracted from existing groundwater wells (Bradshaw Well 2, 10, 14). Bradshaw Well 2 will be a backup source of supply in the event either Well 10 or Well 14 be out of service for mechanical/electrical issues. The proposed Project will be contained on existing GSWC property where the existing wells are located. Water pumped from Bradshaw wells 10, and 14 have a nitrate concentration of approximately 11 and 10 milligram/Liter respectively which exceed the Maximum Containment Levels of 10 mg/L. Nitrate treatment for Bradshaw wells 10, and 14 is required for the delivery of potable water from these wells to the distribution system. Installing treatment will allow the use of Bradshaw Wells 10 & 14 to provide potable water to existing customers.
