Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of rehabilitating or replacing existing sewer mains, lower laterals and manholes in the same horizontal location as the existing mains etc. The work will be performed primarily by the pipe bursting method which involves using a bursting hammer to break the existing sewer pipe and pulling the new high density polyethylene pipe. When not feasible, the City will use the traditional open trench method.
