Document Description
PG&E, Comcast and AT&T will place their utility lines from overhead to underground to enhance the aesthetics of the community and create a general public benefit within the established Underground Utility District No. 48 boundary in the area of Grizzly Peak Blvd and Summit Rd, more specifically along Grizzly Peak Blvd between Hill Rd and southeastern City Limit; Summit Road, more specifically along Grizzly Peak Blvd between Hill Rd and southeastern City Limit; Summit Rd between Atlas Place and Grizzly Peak Blvd; Summit Rd from Grizzly Peak Blvd to 1545 Summit Rd; Summit Lane; Senior Ave; Avenida Dr between Queens Rd and Grizzly Peak Blvd. The project consists of relocation overhead utilities either into a main trench within the roadway or to the side of the roadway within the City ROW within the UUD boundary. Existing utility poles within the Underground Utility District boundary will be removed. Where these poles support a street light, a new streetlight pole will be installed in its place. The project will benefit 175 parcels along approx 7000 lf of roadway centerline within the boundary of UUD No. 48. It is anticipated that there will be 15 retaining walls installed within ROW in front of private property and 4 retaining walls installed on private property, 3 easements required, and approx 13 non-heritage trees removed to provide room for above ground or subsurface utility structures, or access for the inspection and maintenance of public utility facilities.
