Document Description
Under Grant Agreement EPC-18-007 with Glint Photonics, Inc., the California Energy Commission will contribute $1,999,990 for further development of a novel luminaire system (lighting fixtures) that provides automated control over the angular and spatial distribution of solid-state lighting. The system's functionality can dynamically target light to where it is needed, significant improving light utilization efficiency and lighting quality compared to conventional light-emitting diode (LED) luminaries. Using funding from the Energy Commission's grant, Glint Photonics, Inc. and its team will conduct paper studies, collect data, and design and develop prototype lighting fixtures. This project will include the assembly and testing of prototype lighting fixtures in existing research laboratories and testing in existing buildings. Additionally, Glint will conduct paper studies on testing and measurement and verification methods applies. Glint will report on the results, including a final research report for the Energy Commission. NOTE: See NOE for full description
