The urgency ordinance and resolution modify the Town's code and establish location and design standards for wireless communications facilities and utility infrastructure in anticipation of the Federal Communications Commission's "small wireless facility" order (FCC 18-133) going into effect. The new rules requires local aesthetic standards to be no more burdensome than those applied to "other infrastructure deployments". The regulation of facilities in the public rights-of-ways is necessary to protect and preserve the aesthetics in community.
